Dukh Bhanjan is a full night of meditation and contemplation—a sacred space where we come together as Sangat to reconnect, express, serve, and heal. It is a time to open our hearts, share our experiences, and support one another on a journey of deep transformation.

This year, the Naad Yoga Council (NYC) is offering a new opportunity—one that goes beyond mere participation. We invite you to step forward, integrate your learnings, and actively contribute to this transformative experience. Dukh Bhanjan is not just a night of meditation; it is a step toward your own expansion in Naad Yoga.

Dukh Bhanjan is your space to integrate, practice, and share. It is not just an event; it is an experience where you embody what you have learned and become the creator of this sacred sound.

HOW TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF DUKH BHANJAN 

To ensure that Dukh Bhanjan remains an authentic, profound, and well-organized experience, we have established some simple guidelines:

  1. Be a member of the Naad Yoga Council (NYC). NYC provides guidance, tutoring, and a unique practice space. Being a member allows us to continue offering these resources and a strong support system for all Naad Yogis. 
  2. Participate in the organization of the event. Dukh Bhanjan is a beautiful composition where we all contribute. Its strength comes from the commitment of those who make it possible. All participants receiving support will be part of a working group within the event—this is an opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to this sacred space.
  3. Only Naad Yogis who have studied Gurmat Kirtan following the tantr of Sikhs Gurus can lead on stage.  To maintain the integrity and depth of the experience, only those who have studied under Professor Surinder Singh as part of the Naad Yoga Teacher Training (NYTT) or Sound Therapist programs can take a leading role on stage.

KEY MILESTONES FOR DUKH BHANJAN 2025  

  • April 6 at 6 PM – Virtual Presentation Meeting
    Join us for this initial session, where we will present the project. This is your opportunity to clarify the process, understand how you can get involved, and take your first step toward a transformative experience.
  • April 7–30 – Register to Lead the Dukh Bhanjan Experience
    Begin your journey of self-exploration and sound. Register to actively take part in this year’s event—whether by refining your own practice, composing, or assisting with simple yet meaningful organizational tasks. Your contribution matters, and you have much to offer.
  • June–August – Develop Your Composition
     This is the time to create your composition and embody your own mantra. You will be supported in this process by NYC tutors and be part of a WhatsApp group where you can exchange experiences with fellow participants.
  • September–November – Practice & Share
    Step into the transformative power of Sangat by sharing your sound. As you refine your composition, you will experience the beauty of collective meditation, supported by the voices and instruments of other Naad Yogis.
  • October – Pre-Dukh Bhanjan Meeting
    To ensure the night of meditation unfolds smoothly, we will come together for a final virtual meeting. Here, we will align on logistical details and fine-tune the flow of the experience—because every sound and every moment matters.
  • November 29 – Dukh Bhanjan Meeting
    Immerse yourself in an all-night meditation, sharing sound and connection with the Sangat.
